Graveyard Keeper 2 days of the week: Envy, Wrath and more
Gluttony, Sloth, Lust, Envy, Pride, Wrath. What happens on each day, how long a day really lasts, and a routine that stops you missing resurrection or Mass.
The short answer
The week has six days: Gluttony, Sloth, Lust, Envy, Pride and Wrath. Bodies arrive at 13:12 on Gluttony, Lust and Pride. Most battles only start on Sloth. The resurrection device recharges late on Lust and works on Envy. Town orders and trader resets happen on Pride, and the weekly sermon is on Wrath. A full day lasts 7.5 real minutes, so a week is 45 minutes.

- 01
Read the current day on the HUD each time you wake up; days change at midnight, not when you rise.
- 02
Process bodies on delivery days so the morgue has room for the next one.
- 03
Prepare battles before Sloth and resurrection tables before Envy.
- 04
Collect town orders and sell certificates before Pride’s reset.
- 05
Carry a prayer and check attendance before Wrath.
- 06

The week at a glance
Each day has one or two things that only happen then. Everything else, crafting, farming, exploring, works on any day. The trick is to use the ordinary hours to prepare for the gated jobs, so that when the special day comes, you just walk up and do it.
| Day | Fixed events |
|---|---|
| 1. Gluttony | Body delivery at 13:12. The only day the PR Machine accepts loading. |
| 2. Sloth | The usual battle day: most fights can only begin now. |
| 3. Lust | Body delivery at 13:12. Linda takes green scrolls. Resurrection device recharges at 23:45. |
| 4. Envy | All-day thunderstorm. The resurrection device works today. |
| 5. Pride | Body delivery at 13:12. Trader happiness limits reset at 00:14. Town orders are handed out; pallets are checked in the morning. |
| 6. Wrath | Weekly sermon at the church, one per week. |
How long is a day?
An in-game hour is 18.75 seconds, so a full day lasts 7.5 real minutes and the six-day week lasts 45. Daytime and night are each roughly three and three-quarter minutes. This is shorter than most players guess, which is why Wrath seems to arrive out of nowhere.
Food buffs that last one day therefore last 7.5 minutes of play. Lack of sleep kicks in after two days awake, about fifteen real minutes. Trader income lands every midnight.
| Game time | Real time |
|---|---|
| 1 hour | 18.75 seconds |
| 1 day | 7.5 minutes |
| Daytime or night | About 3 minutes 45 seconds |
| 1 week (6 days) | 45 minutes |
Sleep and the calendar
Sleeping does not skip the clock. The whole world runs about fifty times faster while you sleep, simulating every step, and you wake when your energy is full, usually after at least six in-game hours. Benches keep working, crops keep growing and the donkey keeps its appointments.
Because days change at midnight, a long sleep that starts late on Lust can end well into Envy. That is fine for resurrection, but if you slept through the whole of Envy, the device is out of reach until next week. Look at the HUD after waking rather than assuming you are on the next day.
The game saves when you wake up, so sleeping is also how you lock in a good week.
Field note: If you want to raise zombies early on Envy, prepare the tables on Lust evening and go to bed. You will wake into the storm with everything ready.
The exceptions worth knowing
Several day rules have exceptions. The first battle, Break Through to the Port, can start on any day, and so can the sewer fights. When Herbert hands you the red banner before the first battle, battles are allowed on every day until the end of the following Sloth.
The God of the storms sermon buff lets the resurrection device work on any day while it lasts. Holy Moly! lets you hold your first service the day it completes, not just on Wrath. And your first visit to the town order board opens it until the end of the next Pride.
- Battles any day: Break Through to the Port, Sewer Brawls, Sewerena bouts, the bathhouse basement.
- Resurrection any day: while God of the storms is active.
- First sermon: the day Holy Moly! finishes.
Planning around delivery days
Three of the six days bring a body at 13:12, and those deliveries shape the rest of your week more than any other event. The donkey only comes if there is space in the morgue, so the real rule is: by lunchtime on Gluttony, Lust and Pride, have a free slot.
Deliveries are not guaranteed even with space. The chance starts at 100 percent and drops by 15 points after each successful delivery, then climbs by 50 points after a miss. A full morgue that cancels a visit adds only 5. So the occasional empty delivery day is normal and fixes itself; a string of them usually means your morgue is full at 13:12.
Once you unlock it, the Lots of corpses option lets a visit bring up to two bodies. That doubles the pressure on Gluttony and Pride, so add a Corpse Pallet before you switch it on.
Field note: Pride’s body arrives two days before Wrath. If you embalm and bury it straight away, the extra graveyard quality is already counted in Wrath’s sermon money.
A weekly routine that works
Gluttony: process the morning’s body, load the PR Machine if you have one, and do general crafting. Sloth: fight if a battle is waiting, otherwise farm and build. Lust: process the second body, give Linda your green scrolls, and prepare resurrection tables in the evening.
Envy: raise your zombies, assign them tools and stations, and sell certificates before Pride’s 00:14 reset. Pride: process the third body, pick up new town orders and check last week’s crates on the pallets. Wrath: preach, then use any Town Gratitude to refill happiness for next week.
What if you miss a day?
Nothing breaks. Missing Envy pushes your zombies back a week, missing Wrath costs that week’s Faith, missing Sloth delays the battle. The body that would have arrived on a full-morgue day simply does not come, and the delivery chance rises for next time.
The real cost is momentum, not punishment. A short checklist for tomorrow, written before you sleep, fixes most of it.
Common questions
What day is Mass?+
Wrath, the sixth day. One sermon per week.
Which day can zombies be raised?+
Envy. The device recharges at 23:45 on Lust and gives one use per week.
Which day are battles?+
Sloth for most battles. The first battle and the sewer fights can start any day.
Is sleeping the same as advancing exactly one day?+
No. The world keeps running at high speed while you sleep, and days change at midnight. Check the HUD after waking.
When do town orders appear?+
On Pride. Your very first visit to the board opens it until the end of the next Pride.
How long is a week in real time?+
45 minutes. Each day is 7.5 minutes.
Why is there a thunderstorm every Envy?+
It is part of the resurrection day. The storm runs all day on Envy, and that is when the resurrection device can be used.
Can I change which day it is?+
No. There is no way to skip to a chosen day; sleeping only speeds the world up until your energy is full. Plan the gated jobs into the week instead.
Does the planner on this site read my save?+
No. It is a reminder list saved in your browser. Pick the day you are on in the game and tick things off as you go.
