Graveyard Keeper 2 achievements: track the right action
38 achievements: 18 for the story and 20 for things you do over and over. What each activity one actually counts, which story ones need prep, and the bug that skips pumpkin soup.
The short answer
Graveyard Keeper 2 has 38 achievements. Eighteen unlock as the story progresses, and twenty count repeated activities such as burials, sermons, harvests and smelted ingots. Most activity ones tick along on their own if you fold them into normal play. A few story achievements need reputation or happiness thresholds first, and one-star pumpkin soup does not count toward Master Cook.

The 20 activity achievements
These are the ones you can plan. Each counts a specific action, and the details matter: burials count but cremations do not, harvests count once per bed regardless of yield, and smelting and bottling count by batch. Read the notes column before you start a long grind.
| Achievement | Target | What counts |
|---|---|---|
| Back to Life | 1 | Complete any house repair |
| Open for Business | 1 | Claim your first town order reward |
| Tree Bane | 100 | Trees felled to a stump; dead and creepy trees and driftwood do not count |
| True Graveyard Keeper | 50 | Bodies buried in graves; cremation and the river do not count |
| Patron of merchants | 11 | Build every market stall |
| Urban Planner | 15 | Repair every town house; the story-repaired house does not count |
| Home Sweet Tomb | 200 | Reach graveyard quality 200 |
| Bronze Age | 100 | Bronze ingots smelted, counted by batch |
| Iron Age | 100 | Iron ingots smelted, counted by batch |
| Supplier | 50 | Supply boxes created |
| Merchants’ Best Friend | 25 | Town orders completed |
| Warmaker | 50 | Battle gear crafted: armor, weapons, bows |
| Master Cook | 100 | Dishes cooked; one-star pumpkin soup is bugged and does not count |
| Necromancer | 50 | Zombies resurrected |
| Master Farmer | 100 | Garden beds harvested, once per bed |
| Alcohol Baron | 100 | Drinks produced, counted by batch |
| Shepherd of Souls | 50 | Sermons held |
| Stroke of Genius | 150 | Inspiration levels bought |
| Novice Alchemist | 25 | Potions and alchemy items brewed |
| Fish Magnet | 50 | Fish landed |
Fold them into your routine
Almost none of these need a dedicated grind. Shepherd of Souls is fifty Wraths of normal play. True Graveyard Keeper is fifty burials, which three deliveries a week covers in a few months of game time, as long as you bury instead of cremating. Master Farmer counts harvested beds, so a full garden on a short crop like wheat clears it quickly.
Zombies are the secret weapon for the production tallies. A zombie on the Smithy works Iron Age, one on the furnace works Bronze Age, and a kitchen line works Master Cook, all without you touching a bench. Novice Alchemist is a single batch of 25 Healing Potions.
The two town tallies, Patron of merchants and Urban Planner, are side effects of rebuilding the town: every stall and house you repair counts. Home Sweet Tomb follows from good graves. Raise white skulls with embalming solutions and use stone and marble decorations, and graveyard quality climbs toward 200 week by week.
Field note: Necromancer wants 50 resurrections, and every zombie raised counts toward your zombie limit forever. Plan lab quality and the sermon debuff before chasing it.
Orders need the reward claimed
Open for Business and Merchants’ Best Friend count claimed order rewards. Producing the goods, or delivering part of an order, does not count. Orders are handed out on Pride and pallets are checked the next Pride morning, so each order takes at least a week from pickup to reward. Twenty-five of them is a long-term project; start as soon as the warehouse board opens.
Supplier, the supply-box tally, comes naturally from the same work, since orders are filled with boxes from the factory.
Early story achievements
The story achievements unlock by playing. The first half-dozen arrive in the opening chapters and need nothing special. Later ones are tied to late-story quests and are spoilers, so they are not listed here; the GK2DB achievement page has the full list if you want it.
| Achievement | Unlocks when |
|---|---|
| A New Beginning | The prologue ends |
| Two faces | You meet Januarius and Jully in What the Fairy? |
| A Man of Many Talents | Jack in a Boat is complete |
| A Little Magic | Chasing Fairy Lights is complete |
| First Blood | You win your first battle in First… Sludge? |
| Words of Faith | You deliver your first sermon in Holy Moly! |
| The Man Behind the Curtain | You meet Gunter in Friendship Written in the Stars |
Story achievements with requirements
A handful of story achievements depend on numbers you have to build up first. None of these are hard, but they are easy to arrive at underprepared and then wait weeks.
Forbidden Knowledge needs Gunter at 30 reputation. The People Have Spoken needs you to speak to both Jack and the nun during the elections. Two Broken Souls needs Jack at 80 reputation and 100 happiness, and A Dangerous Romance needs town quality 100. Raising town quality to 100 means about 80 green scrolls handed to Linda after the port, so start repairing houses early.
- Gunter 30: Forbidden Knowledge.
- Jack 80 and happiness 100: Two Broken Souls.
- Town quality 100: A Dangerous Romance.
- Talk to Jack and the nun during the election: The People Have Spoken.
Checking progress and bugs
The platform’s achievement display often shows little detail, so keep a short note of your own tallies for the long ones, or check them after a qualifying action to make sure it registered. If a count does not move, compare what you did with the notes column above before assuming a bug.
Two real issues are known at launch: one-star pumpkin soup does not count toward Master Cook, and the Holy Routine inspiration cannot be completed, which matters if you are going for Stroke of Genius’s 150 purchases. Neither blocks 100 percent completion by itself, but they are worth knowing before you grind.
Common questions
How many achievements are there?+
38: 18 story achievements and 20 activity achievements.
Do cremations count for True Graveyard Keeper?+
No. Only bodies buried in graves count; cremation and the river do not.
Does this page spoil the ending?+
No. Late story achievements are left out on purpose. The linked GK2DB page has the full list.
Why did my pumpkin soup not count for Master Cook?+
One-star pumpkin soup is bugged and does not count. Cook other dishes for the tally.
Are any achievements missable?+
None are listed as permanently missable, but several story ones need reputation, happiness or town quality thresholds before their quest finishes.
Which achievement takes the longest?+
Usually Merchants’ Best Friend. Orders are handed out on Pride and checked a week later, and you need 25 claimed rewards, so it runs across many in-game weeks.
What is the easiest early achievement?+
Back to Life, for repairing any town house, and Open for Business, for claiming your first order. Both come within the first few hours in town.
Does Tree Bane count every tree?+
Only trees felled down to a stump, across 45 varieties. Dead and creepy trees and driftwood do not count.
Do battles help with any achievement?+
First Blood comes from the first battle, and Warmaker counts the battle gear you craft for fights, 50 pieces in all.
